I ordered this product to replace the silicone backings for several pairs of earrings I recently purchased. While I like them a lot more than the original silicone pads, I still had a few issues with them. First, some substrates were unusable. Two were too big for the earring and slipped off on their own. On some, the piece of metal was not inserted directly into the plastic end cap, resulting in the back having to be pressed against the post. That is, if they weren't so bent that you couldn't force them. Eventually one of the substrates was torn; the connector and the metal part were separated, and the metal part itself was warped. Overall they worked well for what I needed and while I didn't get to use some of them I was able to replace all the silicone backs and still have a few metal backs left.
