I bought this to frame a number plate that attached to my car's front number plate holder which holds the number plate in a slightly recessed position. The typical license plate frames did not fit because the car's mount had a ridge surrounding the license plate. The frames were placed on top of the ledge and therefore did not make contact with the panel, creating an unsightly gap. Because this frame mounts flush to the license plate, it fits perfectly. So if you want a frame that wraps around your license plate, don't buy it. But if you're looking for a frame that can be flush mounted to the panel to fit an existing bracket, this frame is for you.
