Will not work if battery voltage drops below 12V. Since the device uses a relay with a 12V coil, I suspect that the relay will not work under conditions where that voltage cannot be provided (e.g. when the battery is being discharged below 12V). turn on the input of the charger. This is somewhat misleading as it is possible to set the low voltage threshold (i.e. the voltage at which the charger should turn on) below 12V. Edit: Tests show that the low voltage threshold cannot be set below 10.8V to charge the charger worked. the relay is effectively energized. The product documentation specifies an operating voltage of 10 to 60 volts, which is why it is still unclear why the undervoltage threshold can be set below 10 volts.
