Glad I found this plastic alternative. Even in new plastic, there may be something unsafe that will be discovered in the future. These Collapse-It Silicone Cases are good in every way. I have no complaints. I like this rectangular shape better than the round ones (which they also make) because they use fridge space more efficiently. You can see through them well. Usually they don't stain at all, but when it happened they do. I soaked it in an aqueous bleach solution for several hours and the stain was completely removed. I don't know if the manufacturer says bleach can be used or not, but I haven't seen any damage to the silicone.
