My 18 month old has cerebral palsy and still can't sit up on his own. We put him on a floor sitter and this toy encouraged him to try to stay upright for quite a while. Also, he is deaf and his cochlear implant was activated about 3 months ago, so sounds are new to him. He loves the light and music of this toy. Very easy to activate! I love it!
