
For the money this is completely Western Digital. I built a new system from scratch and chose WD hard drive storage. It's always been like this for me and since I switched to WD I've never lost a single block of data. When I made the switch, there were many hard drive brand names, almost all of which have disappeared. The fact that WD has persevered and not failed with the rest is because they are technologically superior to even most of what is left today.
