My 3 year old Dyson DC-14 vacuum brush stopped rolling. When I decided to fix it myself I looked at a few youtube videos and found a few that were really well done. The biggest issue I had was that some of the disassembly steps required a lot of effort which meant I had to check the video to make sure I was doing everything right. This tool has really come in handy. The only problem was that it didn't fit. I finally found a video that explains how to position it. Once in, it still took a lot of force to pull the large strap over the tool, but once the strap was in place, installing the roller brush was easy. You will also need a Torx T-15 screwdriver. , which looks like a modified Allen key. And then remember that there are 4 torx screws to unscrew and it won't be easy to find them all. Also, grab a long-shank torx screwdriver, as some screws through the small hole are about 3 inches long. Here's one from Revain that should work: https://www.amazon.com/Tonsiki-Pieces-T6-T40-Security. - Screwdriver /dp/B01MFGRZIA/ref=sr_1_17?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1498443474&sr=1-17&keywords=torx+bit+set I bought it at my local hardware store. To be honest this project took me 3 hours and a lot of patience. I doubt those who said they did it in 15 minutes! Not for those who don't have much experience with tools.
