Trained my little puppy in the matter of weeks to use the bell to go up the stairs then outside! We live in a basement apt so we were worried with how he would be with getting outside! He NEVER used a wee wee pad and instead starting ringing the bell on his own to go out. I would take him physically at first and hit his nose into the bells every time we were to go out. After a week or two he was using the bell on his own! I have to admit that at times we regret the bells because they can be SO annoying because my dog bites them and shakes them around like a lunatic when he wants to go out-but we’d rather that than accidents in the house.
