Review on πŸš— OxGord 7 Layer Waterproof Car Covers: All-Weather Protection up to 204 Inches by Andy Baker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good car cover but please read all 11 comments for detailed rating here. See photo of the seam.

A few points: This car cover is unlike any other car cover we have purchased.1. This is not your usual non-woven/taped, breathable "Evolution" car cover material and its thinner clones that chalk (powder) and eventually tear with prolonged UV exposure. It's more like a heavy duty patio/bbq cover. I see that coverage deteriorating at the end of a year or two. There are almost NO products that can withstand the sun, UV rays and wind for a year or two.2. The bottom fleece is much softer than the photos, which is a good thing - protects the paintwork from scratches. the entire cover fabric feels very soft.3. The outer material is a soft, flexible, raincoat-like or heavy-duty patio grill/furniture-like PVC cover with very fine shading, cloth-like texture/appearance, accurately depicted in a close-up photo provided by the supplier. See attached photo.4. The cover is quite heavy and comes in a vacuum compressed bag to reduce the volume by around 25% compared to an uncompressed car cover. Be very careful when opening the vacuum bag to avoid cutting/damaging the lid.5. It is a uniform dark gray color.6. Outdoor life is unknown as it is used for long-term indoor storage as dust and sun protection. Our experience over the years has shown that given enough time UV exposure will destroy any car/truck/RV cover fabric and typical non-woven car covers will dust/shrink/crack when exposed to sun and wind. It is coated and the bottom is made of soft non-woven fabric.7. We strongly advise against using this cover when the vehicle is wet or when the underside of the cover is wet. as this moisture can damage the paintwork of the car. This case is waterproof but not breathable. The seams of the cover are double, raised, like the inseams of ordinary jeans (see photo). However, they are not sealed/taped like a camping tent or waterproof poncho.9. The case comes with a nice storage bag made of the same material as the case. , or if the cover is dirty or has tire marks.11. It's a good coating for the price, it's not cheap, but it's not your typical $39 coating that cracks in the first storm and chalks/dusts/cracks after a few months of UV exposure. Again, we use this cover indoors under a cover to keep out dust, sand and scratches.
