You don't have to kneel to install it.

My previous dresser seat was a lot more difficult to install and remove than the new one. At my age, it's not easy to get up again when I have to lie down on the floor, and many friends my age can't kneel because they've had knee surgery. I don't have an innate talent for collecting. or their installation; so true. But I'm considering patting myself on the back for installing this dresser seat. After wondering why the silicone grommets didn't fit properly and how I would snap the hinge covers over them, I watched the installation video and found that the silicone grommets are UNDER the hinge sections. After this revelation, I found the new dresser seat to be fairly easy to install. All I had to do was hold on to the bottom piece (called the nut I think) while using my small, short screwdriver to tighten the screw at the top of each side. The seat fits perfectly and is so shiny and white it makes a lovely replacement. for the old seat. This new seat has no sharp edges that would leave marks on your body if you sit too long, and it's thicker than my old cheap toilet seat, so the extra height makes it easier for an old body to get out of the to raise seat. This new one has two hinges that are NOT connected and I think this factor can help keep the seat stable. My old dresser seat had a piece connecting two hinges and after many years this piece broke and made the seat slide back and forth giving me movement that I didn't really want. I installed a new dresser two days ago. So I don't know how durable it is or how easy it is to clean, but for now I'm giving it 5 stars. And if you want to get on your knees, maybe you would pray for the coronavirus situation, but you won, you don't have to get on your knees to install this dresser.
