As stated in another review, does not fit the mold of the outlets, creating a gap between the floor and the box (mounting directly to the sub floor in an unfinished basement) I think it will work if you have REALLY thick floors, I have a vinyl top, or if it will be installed before the Floor is laid and installed under the floor, and maybe the gap in the panels and the socket shown could match the depth of the floor? Paid for a professional installation and it would be more difficult to remove and reinstall another product. He suggested to buy a metal outlet cover from basically a metal cutout in the electrical box and standard outlets that would cost me $20 to dig at the hardware store PLUS t socket cover made of metal, I'll buy it now anyway. I pretty much eat up the $60 difference instead of removing it to start over and paying an electrician to do it all over again with something new. LOST MONEY.
