lends itself very well to the two 8-inch passive subwoofers that power it. The only thing is I have it installed on the back of an island case and I can't increase the gain past the 9:00 position or the speakers distort and "boom" too much so it only gets a small fraction of its Power sends to the speakers, but the sound from them is still pretty powerful, so I think it does its job pretty well. I installed it inside the case and was concerned about heat build-up, but that's not a problem as I use very little "gain" on the knob and it rarely gets hot on feature films. Overall I am happy with its performance.
