DO NOT buy this fan! Hunter service missing.

I bought this fan because I wanted to connect it to my Apple HomeKit smart home network. Installation was fine. The fan works as advertised with the remote control. However, the given HomeKit accessory code is incorrect. As a result, I cannot connect the fan to the Apple HomeKit network. The fan is clearly connected to my Wi-Fi network as I can see it in my router's device list, but without a valid HomeKit code it's useless to me. I called Hunter Support twice. The first time I waited over an hour for an agent to respond before I hung up. As I write this review I am waiting for the support team to answer my call within 35 minutes. That's over an hour and a half of my time without even speaking to a live person in Hunter Customer Service. When I FINALLY contacted the person, he explained that the SimpleConnect department is investigating this issue and they can only take my information and that department will contact me via email within 24 hours. I don't understand why I have to call customer service only to be contacted later (probably) by another support person. Why can't I call SimpleConnect Customer Service directly? For a company that previously had a great reputation, I'm very disappointed in the Hunter fans.
