Dull color and ugliness

I bought this mouse pad to replace my old one and to spice up my white desk with a rug with a bold black and white pattern. It didn't light anything at all. It actually made my desk look clunky and dated. The pattern was printed on it and looked blurry. It might have been ok as a mouse pad, but I couldn't look at it.
