The straps of the mask are adjustable, there are 2 of them (one strap through the top of the head and one through the back of the head). That helps the size a bit, but it's not really meant for a three-year-old, so can't really complain. The mask fits his face perfectly, but part of his face almost touches his chest. His favorite character is the night monkey, so he wears it all the time! Very durable. The eyes slide up and down and also narrow. Pretty cool mask I say
