As a resident of an apartment with windows on the ground floor facing the street, I wanted a little more privacy. I've only installed this on the bottom windows and it looks fine. Now I only use horizontal blinds on the top windows. Installation: • I bought a window installation kit https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B002YXPITY and if I had a plant master, a sharp blade and a plastic paint scraper. I may not have needed it, but it was a good buy. • I used a ruler to mark my measurements and draw a cutting line (dry erase marker on the removable side) and then carefully trimmed with scissors. After installation, I did not increase the size and cut the blade, and small gaps along the edges are not a problem. • The first thing I did was not lay flat on top and bottom; the second flattened with books about 30 minutes after cutting, after all; Third, I used book weights, same thing. However, after it dried I ran my fingers over it and now it was sticking out and looking normal. • It can slip a lot when applied and it helps to apply it correctly (and if you cut too much you can slide two sides into place and then only have to trim the other sides). Now I feel like I can leave my blinds open at the tops of the windows (so I can see the sky and city lights). The attached picture was taken early in the morning; It looks even better when the sun shines on it at the end of the day.
