I bought this belt (and another one that is exactly the same but in a different color. It had the name Colombia on it so I thought it must be good. WRONG! Firstly, it is It's not easy to cut to the right length at all. It's a matter of trial and error. DO NOT cut a lot at once or you'll end up with a belt that's too short. But there is a simple mechanism that secures the belt in place it's been around for decades or more. But in this iteration, it doesn't work properly. It's a simple little "bolt" that when its end is threaded through the buckle clicks into place, tightens, and voila, the strap stays on In place except it doesn't work properly, first it often slips into the tail of the buckle and gets stuck there trying to loosen it, and then when you try to fasten the screw with the strap in the right position, it doesn't stay in place. Ita Well the worst part is it won't move when you need it and won't buckle up when you need it! These straps are no doubt made overseas and all now, but I expect reputable US companies to do their own quality control rather than waiting for the customer to do so. The belt is supposed to be great, but it isn't. And the problem isn't one, because I bought two (black and beige) and they're both the same (okay, maybe black is a little WORSE!
