I've tried it in tap water and it showed 7. Dripped a few drops of bleach, still shows 7. Put in vinegar, it showed 6.5. Obviously not calibrated. Calibration solutions were made with distilled water. Put the meter in a pH 6.86 solution and it reads 6.9. Calibrate and it will settle down a bit to 6.86. I wash it off with distilled water and dry it carefully. Put it in a pH 4.00 solution, the meter will read 6.6. If I run the calibration procedure again, the 4.00 solution calibrates to 6.86. Not good. Then I tried a solution with pH 9.18. The counter shows 7. The calibration resets the counter to 6.86. "Automatic detection" of the pH of the calibration liquid means that you cannot calibrate this device if the calibration was poor to begin with. I took it out of the box an hour ago, they will send it back immediately. Garbage.
