Coconut Opener Kit is perfect for those who open coconuts on a regular basis. But for those like me who will likely be open for a week or two, a sharp knife and patience will do the trick. Pros: The blue pad is very handy for deadening the sound and helps keep the coconut in place when using a rubber mallet. The straws feel very durable and the meat spatulas clean the inside well. Scam I found that I used a knife to cut off most of the outer layer of a young coconut before I could use a hammer and opener.
