That's cool. Connection = super fast. There is no noticeable loss of quality between the phone, device and wireless connection. I would rate the connection as perfect. The microphone on the device is also excellent. The device is powered automatically when you plug it into an outlet that turns on/off when the car is turned on/off. If your phone's bluetooth is on when you start the car, the phone and the device will be paired automatically. I think separate power supply/AV is a big part of the success. I have NO "noise floor", hum or buzz from this unit. Many devices combine two cables. Their combination can cause many problems, including "floor noise". I am a real person with a real income and a real family (wife and several children). I buy these things to make my life a little easier and fun. I am not a financially wealthy person. If I think a product is homemade or a failure, I make a review in hopes it will help others. I want to say that this is an honest review based only on my opinion of this product. There is an older version of Anker's parent company. The reviewer noted that the Anker version wasn't good, while the iClever Himbox was the best. The reviewer claimed he was an electrical engineer. I'm not an electrical engineer. I'm a semi-alert end user. I bought an iClever device. The moment I plugged it in, a "noise floor" came out of my speakers. Also in the package was an offer from iClever. If I had rated them on Revain they would have sent me a second unit for free. I personally dislike this practice as it can lead to fake reviews. I sent the device back and gave an honest 1 star rating. I didn't look at the second device.
