I installed this on a 2004 330 ci to replace the original which due to insulation on the three small wires feeding the low beam bulb and the brown ground wires, failed. ruptured and parts of it broke off, causing a short circuit on those four wires. Before installing, I wrapped the wires in black electrical tape to prevent re-shorting. I highly recommend checking the wiring to make sure the insulation is in good condition and there is no moisture in the headlight. I also checked the wiring of another headlight and found that the insulation on the same wires was brittle and parts of it were peeling off. from wires. I used black tape to ensure the wires are properly insulated and avoid changing the ballast. I am happy with this purchase.
