I needed black cotton for a quilt. My choice fell on Quilters Dream Poly in black or Hobbs 80/20 in black. I didn't want to use polyester as I didn't wash the fabrics beforehand. However, I was not satisfied with Hobbs 80/20. When I opened the cotton I noticed that it had a lot of hard spots. I couldn't see what it really was, but they were everywhere. After quilting and removing the long sleeve duvet, I noticed a lot of black flakes/dust on my long sleeve duvet. After washing the comforter I will come back to update how it held up.
