My home was built in 1948, we have the original tile and tub and they are in excellent condition; However, over the years people have lived here who may not be as "detail oriented" as I am. There are eons of soap on the tiles. I've used everything and all it did was make the soap foam a little on the tiles but didn't come off. I used drill scrubber. I don't want to scratch the tile so I can't use sandpaper. At the end I disinfect the scale with bleach. IT WORKS OUT! Not with an app and not zero cleanup, but almost. I applied a thick layer, let it sit for 30 minutes, washed off with hot water and then rubbed (not scrubbed) vigorously with a sisal cloth. I reapplied and did it again and just like the first time the tile was shiny and the water perfectly bubbly. They felt smooth. They came with a daily cleaner so I'll use that. PS I kept the bathroom door closed to keep the cats out. The smell was strong enough, I don't think they would jump, but I'm not sure if there are less strong everyday things.
