Review on Premium Stainless Steel Citrus Press Juicer by Norpro: Effortlessly Extract Fresh Citrus Juice with Style! by Yolanda Baca

Better than alternatives

I juice a lot of citrus fruits. About 20-30 sips a day at a good restaurant. Aluminum alternatives work equally well with any part, but have huge disadvantages. First, they are colored. The citric acid will eat away at the paint and cause it to flake off from the inside. I've never noticed color in a drink, but I find that it's gone on the juicer. Provided it lasts that long. I don't know why the handles break. They usually last about 6 months. This product has lasted me 9 years and still works. Maybe it's just my story, but I'm still waiting for it to come out. The encoder pin is made of aluminium, but is relatively acid-resistant and, unlike the handle, can be replaced. The only thing that really bothers me is that the press can be moved from left to right almost the width of the grip. It's not a big problem, but it does increase the chance of getting your hand caught. Another problem is the cost. That's almost three times more than the aluminum competitor. I'll have to wait until the end of the year to even think about buying another one.
