Assembled in just 3 steps. But I hesitated a bit when the instructions in step 3 said "help needed" because I didn't want to wait for someone to come home to help me. So I took my time, lowered the chair to the floor after attaching the piece of metal to the base, then inserted the silver cylinder into the base of the chair, and finally swung the cylinder on the chair into the hole in the bottom of the wheel, and THAT WAS THE MOMENT! You'll see when you get referrals! It's a beautiful chair and WORTH THE MONEY - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
