Overall the product serves its purpose. I think it's a little pricey for what it is, but you're pretty stuck if you want to use a feather duster as I couldn't find any other adapters that would fit the planer properly. You can use it on a standard 4 inch dust hose for your vacuum as there is an outer ring for it and an inner ring for a smaller hose. The smaller size is too big for my two different sized vacuum hoses. but will work with 2.5" hose (inner size). The inner ring (outer measurement) is pretty close to 2 7/16 for those wondering if your store bought vacuum hose will fit. I didn't use a caliper, just a ruler , so don't give me the "exact" outside diameter of the inner ring that the vacuum hose attaches to.When connected to my 4" line, it does an excellent job of removing chips and dust.
