The picture looks great to me. Happy with the purchase.

I bought this knowing it was only a native 1080p projector and didn't support 4K. It is, but it lowers it. 4K projectors are still very expensive and there isn't much content yet, so I haven't turned them off. Most of the reviews about picture quality, features, etc. are correct, so I won't go into too much detail. I have a 2010 Samsung 1080p 46" 3D TV that I'm using for comparison purposes. So with that in mind, I'm sharing my hands-on experience to help you decide whether you should buy this or another HD projector: 1 Firstly it's not a short throw projector they're still over $1,000 at the time of review but that adds a downside this means the projector needs to be at least 6-7ft tall which means that You need a bare basement or a really big room that isn't used often For this to work you'll need to either mount it under the ceiling, but again there are issues with power and HDMI cables, or on a coffee table or side table (my setup) but then HDMI and power cables run across the floor to an outlet on the wall/receiver.You'll have to live in most homes and you can partially hide this by using carpeting .2. Built-in speakers aren't fun, so you'll need to hook up to a surround-sound system. HDMI cable problem as mentioned in #1 You can buy any wireless surround speakers and put the receiver under the projector, but you will still have power cord problem. Unless you live in a modern house where there are outlets on the floor nearby. I have one, but there is still a long way to go. The outlet on the wall is closer.3. You need a screen. The size and height of the room limits the size of the screen. I could fit a 100 inch screen, but it takes up the entire wall (I live in an east coast town with small rooms, but my ceiling is 10 feet high). Wall projection might work if you have a completely bare wall (no switches, HVAC controls, etc.) and want to paint it white. If your wall is colored some color correction is available but it will definitely change the color images Be happy with the resolution as I'm still using a 10 year old TV as a reference but it was the best (3k+ when it first came out). first came out) that come with UHD or 4k TVs. Your mileage may vary depending on whether you are used to seeing more detail and a sharper image. If you zoom in a bit, you tend to notice more imperfections. correct keystone correction) every day. Again, you'll get better and faster, but it's still a chore. Even the slightest movement of the screen or projector throws the focus off. Tep er positive points. These alleviate some of the practical problems mentioned above: the thing is small and very light, you can switch everything off and put it away in 15 seconds. Roll the cables back to the wall and/or receiver and you've got the room back to normal.2. If you buy a folding screen (even if it's manual) with a stand. You can roll it up in 30 seconds. But don't remove it. It's too long, but at least it's along the bottom of the wall. Putting everything back together takes a few minutes, but with practice you get better and faster. One caveat: once you get used to watching movies on a 100-inch screen, going back to a 46-inch screen, no matter how good, will be difficult. That. So think twice before you jump!

Pros
  • Nice touch
