I am an elderly male with cataracts in need of surgery. My doctor advised me to put a baby washcloth in very warm water and then wring it out well and place it over both eyes for 4-5 minutes. Then he told me to put a drop of baby shampoo on a washcloth and gently rub the base of the upper and lower lashes. I have light blue eyes that get irritated easily. Obviously, blue eyes are prone to crusting. who knew I followed the doctor's instructions. This shampoo didn't irritate my eyes one iota! I was very surprised.
