Works on 12v only, not the declared 9-12v.
This lamp is NOT rated for 9-12v. As anyone who knows batteries knows, is a 12 volt battery is actually closer to a 13 volt battery. Well it works great with them (or with an 8x1.5 AA setup for the same crowd). But he generally refuses to work at a voltage lower than 11V. If the room is BLACK BLACK you might see the faintest flickering of the LEDs, but that's about it. I have a version of the same product with an amber bulb and it works great at only 8.5V, so unless you plan on using a 12V ONLY power supply AVOID THIS LAMP.
