I used these for a specific project involving inserting the flat end into a cedar wood ball with a power drill to make a pilot hole in the ball and then slowly screwing the screw into the pre-drilled hole to turn . Well 2 or 3 of these screws (out of 20 in the pack) are slightly bent and didn't go straight into the hole so basically 10% of the screws were lost due to imperfection. Many of them were blunt on the sharp end, making installation a bit more difficult. Also, the flat end does not have a star shaped hole as shown in some promotional images.
