Review on πŸ”Š Nobsound HiFi TPA3116D2 2.1 Channel Digital Audio Power Amplifier - Stereo Amp with Subwoofer, Treble and Bass Adjustment - 2Γ—50W+100W by Tamara Rodriguez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Value for money 2.1 amp

Excellent 2.1 amp. With Yamaha bookshelf speakers and a passive subwoofer on a 16g speaker cable, it gets loud enough even at half volume. I have a FiiO E10 Preamp DAC working with the device and the sound is great. It has only one RCA audio input for left and right channels, as well as left, right and aux outputs. A few things to note: 1) The controls are quite sensitive. 2) The speakers must be "off" when you unplug or plug in the power cord. (which is not included). 3) All speaker outputs use banana plugs. 4) The connectors are close together and easy to short. Use heat shrink tubing or electrical tape to insulate the connections. 5) There is no instruction manual for the device. The setup seemed a bit tricky to me. Treble and bass are your only controls for tuning the overall system. The bass volume controls and frequency settings only seem to affect the subwoofer. Frequency controls the subwoofer's crossover (how high the subwoofer produces), and bass volume controls the subwoofer's playback volume. I'm playing with the buttons a bit and still trying to find the best setting. The body is very durable and the handles feel firm. Could be a bit easier to use but for the price this is a decent no frills amp.
