Our 2017 iMac Retina 5K 27-inch 3.4GHz i5 originally came with 8GB of RAM and was advertised as user-configurable with 16GB or 32GB according to Apple. Well, those 8GB really aren't enough to run multiple memory-hungry programs at the same time. Performance is sluggish and sometimes even problematic. In the end, after 5 years, I decided not to upgrade to 32GB as Apple claims that's the upper limit, but to the full 64GB. This kit met the specs and had good reviews, so I ordered it. Installing 4 sticks was easy and the resulting increase in performance is amazing. It's too early to talk about reliability, but several weeks of daily use and not a single problem or failure to report. Very happy with this purchase.
