I compare it with Acer PE320QK. It's a 4k IPS monitor at 60Hz. has about the same nits as this monitor, 550 nits. Out of the box, the Asus has excellent color reproduction, but with some tweaking I was able to get the same color as the Acer. However, Asus is definitely brighter. I had to turn the Asus brightness down to 80% to get the Acer brightness at 100%. I mostly play games at 4k, so I don't need a refresh rate higher than 60. Also, I didn't notice the difference between the 1ms response rate versus Acer's 4ms response rate. In between, the text is just as crisp. Unless you greatly reduce the resolution by making the text very small, it becomes clear that ASUS has the best PPI. but reading such a small text was awkward and my face is too close to the screen lol. This can be corrected by adjusting the high contrast settings. Acer has 32 inches and ASUS 27 inches. I prefer 32, apparently after using Acer for 2 weeks 27 just seemed very small. Also, the Asus' bezel is very thick and looks dated. Acer costs $530 and Asus $1090. If your needs are the same as mine, don't worry, it's not worth it.
