Review on ANNKE Security Compression Weatherproof Outdoor by Travis Oetting

I had high hopes for this product and wanted to like it I wanted to save some money for a high quality 4K security camera solution. I'm sorry to report that my experience with Annke and the C800 was a total disappointment. I have serious hardware, software, and support issues. Your website got off to a bad start. It's inferior, lacks important information, and is disorganized. and things just kept getting worse. Their website doesn't even have a download link for something as simple as a C800 user manual or configuration information. After waiting in line for 1 hour for tech support, they confirmed that the C800 user manual and configuration information was NOT available online (but they offered to email them to me). Annke recently made significant changes to the C800 body, but they didn't. Change the product or version number from previous versions. The entire body of the camera is NOW made out of flimsy, cheap plastic that breaks easily when new and set up, not to mention given some time exposure to the elements. Worse, the camera ball is loose on the plastic base. The HW (and/or SW) camera is very slow. The camera's 4K daylight image is okay (but not great), but the low-light IR image was unusable. Their software is also a mess - primitive, poorly designed, slow and featureless, with no or limited documentation. Conclusion. It's hard for me to explain the positive reviews. I have installed and used a number of other security cameras. you can do better Pay a little more now for a better or more refined product and save time, hassle, and money NOW AND FOREVER.
