Attempting to drill holes in 3/8 gauge steel plate. I picked it up from a junkyard so I don't know exactly what steel it is, but I suspect it's some kind of hard ballistic material. I started with a 3/16 COBALT pilot bit and then switched to 11/32. The last hole was supposed to be 9/16 so I took some from the set above. All I did was melt a little. Funny, all other COBALT bits worked fine. Hm. Maybe not that funny. Actually quite annoying. Really disappointed. I have other Revain items that were sold as one piece and turned out to be counterfeit. I put it in this category. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY!
