Aloha! I recently used this pillow on a long flight from Honolulu to Los Angeles. Full disclosure: I'm a curmudgeon. That's why I always buy cheap tickets. For me this means that I will have a hard time sleeping in economy seats. I usually take an inflatable pillow with me, but that doesn't help at all. I can't remember a single case where an inflatable pillow helped me fall asleep. This time, however, was different. This microfiber pillow was a lifesaver. The cover is velvety smooth, very comfortable on the neck. When I ordered this product I assumed it was made out of memory foam. It was my fault for not reading the description. I was almost disappointed, but then I tried it out on my old couch for an hour. Although it's quite firm, it's not uncomfortable. It has just the right stiffness. It lulls and conforms to my neck and shoulders. I feel like it keeps my neck in the right position. I also like that the entire pillow is machine washable. However, there is a zipper on the back in case I just want to remove the cover and wash it separately. I'll probably just do that. One important thing to remember when traveling with this pillow is that it is non-inflatable so it cannot be deflated, folded and put in a bag. This thing takes up more than half the space in my backpack. (I think I could just take it on the plane in a small bag. That way I could stuff my backpack with extra essentials like the tush cush I sit on to protect my sore tailbone. But it really is no further problem!) There is one more thing I should mention. The pillow is made from recycled materials like plastic water bottles, according to the company. Even the paper packaging for this product is made from recycled material. This is a pleasant surprise. Conclusion: This is a soft and comfortable travel pillow that I would buy again.
