Review on CRANKBROTHERs Pedal Stamp Small Black by Seth Gibbons

Before writing this review, let me say that I have only been driving for about 8 months. I have no experience with clips. I used to only use standard plastic pedals so really any pedal would greatly improve my ride. That being said, here's my summary. Specifications are for reference. Pedal: Stamp 7, large. Since purchase: 87.2 miles on 13 trips. Bike: Roscoe 8 (Hardtail). Shoes shown: Nike Metcon 2 for US men, size 10.1. Traction - Adjustable pins are used for 2-3 rides. At first I thought they were too tight. I couldn't easily adjust my foot position in corners etc. but after getting used to the grip it got a lot better. Pedals won't lose traction in water/mud/climbing.2. Durability - I had a couple of pedal strokes, the last one caused sparks. There are no creases/dents in the design. The paintwork is partially scratched/scratched, but I find that understandable.3. Flush installation - this affects the size when you buy it. The pedals are mounted flush with the crank so there is no 0.75 to 1 inch gap between the inside edge of the pedal and the crank. It might not have mattered to a more experienced rider, but I did notice rubbing the crank with my boots at first. Why is it important? I believe purchasing the BIGGER gave me the extra space I needed to adjust for spacing and find a stable, friction-free stand.4. SIZE - this was the biggest hiccup of the purchase for me. Depending on the shoe, I have 10-10.5, so I'm on the border between small and large. I went for the big one and couldn't be happier. If you're on the border between small and big, I recommend BIG. Since buying them I have noticed significant improvements in overall riding performance and confidence while trying new things like jumping etc. Hope this helps Cheers.
