The One X fits perfectly in the foam and the plastic box itself is quite thick and strong. However, the foam can be thick on the sides, but the bottom and top, especially the bottom, the foam is very thin. I wouldn't even trust dropping it even from waist height, fearing it doesn't absorb enough impact to protect the X's interior. If they could add more than a quarter inch of foam I have a feeling it would. much more reliability. The case can definitely take a beating, but I don't think it offers enough impact protection, especially for the $50 price point.
