I bought this to replace an identical light I previously bought from Home Depot but is no longer available there. This lamp is just what I need to illuminate the cabinet in my kitchen. Provides excellent light in various lamp brightness options. The problem with this light is that there is only one point with an electrical cutout for house wiring - at the far left end of the light. This knockout point did not allow me to center the device. I had to cut a new hole in the back of the fastener body to fit it. This fixture also required the addition of a length of electrical wiring to connect it to the house's wiring. I had to do the same with the original I bought in HD. The only other issue is a slight delay in the lighting when the device is turned on. The unit is quiet - doesn't hum or make noise, and that suits my needs. If you are not a seamstress I do not recommend it.
