Review on Mugen Rev CPU Cooler Support by Alex Webster

Date: July 7th, 2019 Ryzen 3rd Gen Released, and without doing much research I bought a Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic to house my new 3700x. Make no mistake, the PC-011 Dynamic is an amazing case. However, it does not have air coolers higher than 155mm. And since my venerable Corsair h100i v2 was too loud for me these days, I knew I had to get back in the air to get the silent system I was dreaming of. Type Scythe Mugen 5 Rev B. All the other names - Noctua, be Quiet!, Cooler Master - all had great coolers, but each of them was over 155 feet tall. Of course they had low profile coolers shorter than 155mm, but basically all these coolers were meant for itx builds. (The Cooler Master MasterAir MA410M in particular broke my heart as its RGB design blended well with the rest of my build). A quick Google search revealed the truth: the best cooler up to 155mm was the Scythe Mugen B. I had it on my system and it lived up to all expectations. Installation was easy, no sound. The temperature is better than my corsair h100i v2. The only noise I hear is a minimal hissing noise from my Corsair LL 120 fans. Another important point: this cooler does NOT cover any RAM slots at all. So, if you want, you can get that 14-inch RAM, you won't have a problem. further than the Scythe Mugen 5. Even if you don't have a suitcase, get the Scythe Mugen because it's damn good. Oh, and by the way - it's $25-$50 cheaper than the competition. What are you waiting for? batting order.
