These filters contain wheat and/or gluten components somewhere in the manufacturing process. I have celiac disease and my husband is wheat sensitive and we both became very ill within a few days of using it. Once we've stopped using them, no problem. For those who don't know, wheat or wheat ingredients are commonly used in things like coffee filters, tea bags, rubber packaging, etc. because it's a cheap filler. I am a clinician working with patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions and this is a commonly overlooked source of exposure for celiacs.
