Questionable accuracy
I didn't try it right away and if I did I would either exchange it for another one or get my money back. Headstock travel is very tight from 4" to 8" and very slack from 1" to 4". A small pull handle is useless in solving this problem. I have the 6" version and it works as it should. This 8" has a repeatable benefit of only 1" to 4" or 4" to 8". In other words, it's a very long 4-inch caliper.
