Bought for my Focus station wagon and it fits perfectly on the side of the tailgate. The length of the cable is getting a little tight at this point, but I'm sure I could get more distance from it with more effort. Precisely because of the design of the car it had to be mounted at this point, otherwise I would recommend somewhere closer to the center of the roof, such as if you have a roof rack with cross bars. I highly recommend repeating the first few rides and making sure nothing comes loose due to road/wind vibration. It has a SMA jack on the radio end, so you may need a suitable adapter.
