and the fabric doesn't "forgive " easily after untying ties

This is the first time I've bought a polyester tie. There is a stiffness that silk ties don't have, and the fabric doesn't "forgive" as easily after the ties are untied. But it was normal for a child to wear it to an event. The colors are clearly bright.
