Instructions do not help. After a minute I realized I need to start with the shortest stem and then adjust the medium and long stems. There are six white and six black wires that need to be connected together. I tied and soldered them together, but it's not necessary. They included a jumper wire, one black and one white, which I then used with my own wire nut to attach. Good fittings look very expensive. I use medium base 1.5W (15W equivalent) matte LED bulbs. It's like the lights you see in open air restaurants or at a wedding. The ideal size looks chic and corresponds to a 75 watt light bulb.
