Review on 🚗 TCI 743865 Automotive Transmission Dipstick by Eric Montgomery

When I was doing an LS swap on a 1980 Camaro, the last thing I expected to find was a 4 speed automatic dipstick and dipstick tube , but it was so. The best I could do is this TCI block. Here's the problem: the tube isn't bent correctly, so it enters the 4L70E gearbox at the wrong angle (see photo). Also, it is inconvenient to need a second bracket to mount on the LS engine. TCI or someone else should make a dipstick tube that exactly matches the shape of the 4L60E bell and bolts directly to the LS engine. This is a regular exchange so there is a lot of demand for it.
