I have not managed to photograph myself in this dress well but I’m glad I picked it out because it’s a pretty, flowy dress. In the seller-provided photos the polka dots look white but they’re not, they’re a metallic gold which is really nice contrast against the blue (I know some of my photos make it look royal blue but that’s due to the camera flash, it’s more of a navy or indigo blue). The material is light and thin but in a good way and there are multiple layers so it’s not at all see through. I’m maybe just a little chunky but the the halter top was still fairly flattering.I might suggest ordering a size down from your normal size though. I ordered an extra large according to my own measurements and their size chart- 1 inch smaller than my chest, but almost two inches bigger than my waist- and it truly is a little too big. It’s a relatively easy fix I think but there is a bit of sag on the sides on me, enough that I feel the need to tug it up but it doesn’t stay; I should have ordered a size down but didn’t want to risk not fitting into it.One minor annoyance- the only way to hang it on a hanger is by the neck ties, they didn’t put any of the clear loops inside the dress to hang it up on the sides, thus making it slightly more difficult to photograph on the hanger (and store in the closet as neatly).Other than that, it’s a gorgeous dress, perfect for a summer night out and I look forward to better weather when I can wear it. Well worth the $34 price tag.
