Finally. Smooth paint!

I'm a big fan when it comes to car care. Basically, I only wash my car twice a month and wax it a few times a year. Nothing fancy, just whatever I can do without fancy tools to keep the car clean and protected. After 8 weeks of driving on the construction site (motorway repairs) I noticed that the paint is becoming very rough as it absorbs rubble. Basically, these are asphalt deposits and even some unpleasant things. No washing helped so I did a little research which pointed me to the tone. Well I've never used clay before and the process seemed quite time consuming and risky. But then I came across the Speedy Surface Prep Towel! My research was mixed, but I figured out "what the heck" and ordered one because it seemed easier to use and less risky than traditional clay. Before using, I read the instructions on the packaging, which recommended breaking the towel on the glass before using it on the paint. It is also necessary to use a lubricant so that the cloth slides easily over the paint. I used Express Detailer which worked fine. The trick with this product is letting it do its job. Very little pressure is required. You literally slide the towel over the paint and it does all the work for you. Use straight lines only, no circular motions. If the towel falls off, just hose it down to clean it and you're done. I giggled like a schoolgirl using it as the color went from rough and ugly to smooth as glass and shiny. After the paint was clean I applied a good coat of wax. The car looked great and I was very happy with the result. Yes I would recommend it to a friend.
