They were very easy to replace on my frame. I have traditional Piaa frames. I just removed the wipers from the car, pulled out the old ones, removed the metal spacers (Important! You must reuse the metal spacers your wipers already have, they fit your frames and will help you determine the correct length). Attached the spacers to the newly purchased blade, trimmed, taped on one side to keep it from falling out, inserted the blade with spacers, snapped the final tab into the notches that should hold everything, and reattached the knot. The new blades wear out perfectly. I don't know if that would require some wipes, but as an Uber driver in Seattle, I need the perfect wipers. They come with 4 stripes. 2 rolls of 2 are connected together. You need to separate them before you start working, that's pretty obvious. It was enough for me to do two front wipers and one rear wiper, one remained.
