These were bought for under cabinet lights for my kitchen. They're pretty bright and the perfect color. I installed the lights over a year ago and they still work great. I installed them in my kitchen in about 3.5 hours. I used all 16 feet for my kitchen. I liked them so much that I installed them as a Christmas present for my sister. Advantages: - Bright warm light. My wife often leaves out the overhead lights and only uses the under cabinet lights. - Low power consumption - Can cut every 3 inches - Price is against - "3M" taps didn't catch on with me. I cleaned the surface beforehand and still solved it with a fall. I added super glue to problem areas. I put 3M in quotes because I doubt it's actually 3M tape. I used 3M double sided tape before and it's not that sticky. - Research: It took me a long time to figure out what I needed to buy to make these headlights work. I wish there were better guidebooks. Find a power source. I used the plugin behind my fridge.2. Find out how to turn them on and off. I used a dimmer (above). I installed it under the cabinet next to the fridge. I can dim or turn off the light. I usually leave them on as they are low on power.3. Measure, cut, solder. I left about 3 inches of space for each corner and end of the closet. The light still fills these places beautifully. Then solder the wire from one strip to the other. I hid the cord behind my microwave and routed it in the cabinet and over the sink.4. If necessary, use staples or superglue. You are welcome to ask questions about my project. Good information can be hard to find.
